What is Ielts? "Introduction to IELTS"


Hi there! Today I am going to talk about International English Language Testing System.

WHAT IS IELTS?

The abbreviation of Ielts is International English Language Testing System. Ielts exams are held by British Council and other different organizations like that but its procedure is quite same. There are two branches of Ielts, Ielts Academic and Ielts General. Both have same four modules viz; Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking but there patterns are quite different from each other.


IELTS ACADEMIC:


Ielts Academic is just for those who are willing to go abroad for academic purposes. Ielts is mandatory to get admission in foreign institutes. A person can't get Study Visa of any country until he does not do Ielts.

IELTS GENERAL:


Ielts General is mandatory for those who want to get citizenship of any English speaking state of countries in Europe.

If anyone is interested in Skill based visa of any country, he will have to take Ielts General.

Ielts General is also required for those, who are willing to start any sort of business or to do any job in those countries. It is necessary to get Work Permit of Australia, UK, US and such other countries.

ADVANTAGES OF IELTS?


You are a student and you think that you will get admission in your desired university that is located outside your country based on your previous massive academic record, so you are in some misunderstanding. Whether you get 100% in your recent course, you are illegible to go abroad until you don't do Ielts Academic. Mostly, world best educational institutions are located in Australia, United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Europe. So now it is obligatory to do Ielts to get admit in the universities of those countries. Meanwhile, you can study in world top ranked institution with Ielts. Ielts is accepted in all universities and government sectors in the world.

Ielts is also compulsory if you want to get citizenship of any English speaking country and European as well. It is mandatory for getting UK and Spouse visa and Skill visa of Australia. You are requested to take Ielts General if you want to settle down in UK. If you are in a country where English is national language, you can't call your wife/husband until you do not take Ielts.

Not last but least, Ielts gives you life time advantage. English is a global language and it is being used everywhere in the universe. A child starts to learn English from his childhood through books. If you take Ielts, you can earn money by teaching students. Nowadays, most of the educational instructions require English instructors that also have Ielts. Besides it, you and make your own Ielts training academy for students and teach them Ielts skills. In the last, if you have completed Ielts you can start your online business. You can record your useful tips and post it to your You Tube channel. You can also write essays and other Ielts related content for your website. These methods will financially assist you very much and by doing that your skills will improve more than ever.

BANDS SCORE DESCRIPTION:


The candidates are given overall 9 bands scores. Each module (Listening, Writing, Speaking, Reading) have 9 bands score. The average produces final bands scores. For example if you get 5 bands score in Reading, 5 in Writing, 6 in Listening and 6 in Speaking, than your overall and final bands score is 5.5.

  1. 9 bands score shows that you have full command on English language. You are fluent and talkative. You are a professional user.
  2. 8 bands score shows that you have full command on English language with minor irregular inaccuracies. Nevertheless, you are very good user.
  3. 7 bands score shows that you have functional language skills. You can handle any situation effectively. Although some grammatical mistakes, and misunderstandings will occur. You are a good user.
  4. 6 bands score shows that you have impressive language skill. Undoubtedly, grammatical mistakes, misinterpretations and unfit faults my take-place. Although, you are a competent user.
  5. 5 bands score shows that you are a modest user. You are feasible to make more mistakes.
  6. 4 bands score shows that you are disabling to use complex language with limited skills.

I personally suggest you that your bands score must be more than 5. The deeper the well, the sweeter it is. The average bands score that are required in maximum countries should be 6+.

  1. IELTS is not easy. Only students comprehension and analytical skills are important. Constant practice and confidence are needed for the IELTS. Review and train harder since the test fee is not that cheap. It is need to give it all.
