#10 IELTS Writing Task 2 "In many countries, people no longer wear their national costumes"

In many countries, people no longer wear their national costumes. They are forgetting their history and traditions. More people should be encouraged to wear their national costumes every day. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the given statement?

In today's societies, the residents do not wear their national costumes. Most people prefer wearing their dresses which one made in their country but not considered their traditional dresses. Some people do not approve of this by saying that this way people are forgetting their history and traditions. But I think that this is a part of modernization and development. Nevertheless, each of the countries has its costumes and national dresses in which some are comfortable and other are difficult to handle. A dress that is being worn daily as a routine is called a comfortable dress, to my point of view. For example, Shalwar-Kameez is Pakistan's traditional dress is very comfortable, however, it is quite uncomfortable and dangerous in labour and machinery work. Therefore, people do not like to wear this dress instead they prefer t-shirts and trouser because it is uniqueness and can be worn for many purposes as compare to Shalwar-Kameez.

Besides it, for an underdeveloped nation, garments and should be a secondary thing. What good is history and culture when a nation is not making advancements in the education and health sectors? We should look toward economic, medical and social progress and do not keep in consideration of these tiny things like clothing and traditions if our generation is dying of hunger and diseases.

What Is IELTS?

Traditional clothes may be one thing on which we can feel proud because it is our traditions and everybody love it. We should keep concentrate on crucial and gruelling problems and I think, this should not be a controversial talk.
